Information about Rebecca
I am an experienced English teacher with a strong track record teaching across Key Stages 2 and 3 as well as GCSE and A Level. I have taught in both a top 10 UK secondary school and one of the countrys leading prep schools which feeds into schools such as Eton College and Wellington College, giving me a deep understanding of a wide range of curricula and exam requirements.
I specialise in building self-assured, articulate students by strengthening core literacy skills while fostering a genuine enjoyment of reading and writing. My lessons are engaging, structured and tailored to the individual, helping students develop analytical thinking, clear written expression and exam confidence.
Alongside my teaching, I have led curriculum development, including a whole-school English progression framework, and have extensive experience preparing pupils for Common Entrance, scholarships, GCSE and A-level success.
Before teaching, I worked as a solicitor, an experience that continues to inform my approach: I place strong emphasis on clarity, precision and critical thinking, while also supporting students self-belief and wellbeing.
My aim is simple: to help every student feel capable, motivated and genuinely interested in English, so they not only achieve strong results, but enjoy the subject along the way.
Availability: Evenings and weekends as well as during the day on a Monday.
Willing to travel: Home Only
