Information about Eloise
Hello :)
My name is Eloise and I am a qualified NHS doctor and chemistry teacher with a passion for sciences and education. I am currently teaching at a grammar school in Tonbridge and have a 6+ year history of tutoring students in GCSE chemistry.
**Available for tutoring over the Summer holidays to prepare students for the next academic year**
I qualified from the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2017 with an intercalated Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree in 2015. I am also a PGCE qualified secondary teacher with several years experience teaching GCSE Chemistry and leading interventions for our Year 11 students to ensure success in their exams.
I am also available to tutor in Medicine Interview preparation - I lead the Medicine society in my school and support the Year 12/13 students with interview preparation and have a bank of mock stations to practise.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: My sessions will be tailored to each student individually and I will be guided by the student as to which topics they would like to cover each week. I alternate between use of a whiteboard and PowerPoint presentations to break down trickier subjects in a more manageable way of learning. I am passionate that the best way to learn complex scientific concepts is to relate them to every day examples.
Learning the GCSE exam technique is as important for students as understanding the content. I embed past paper questions into every session and highlight the keywords/ exam technique which will score them marks.
