I have recently retired from teaching. I taught at a large Leeds comprehensive where I was Head of History and was then promoted to Head of Year. I continued to teach A Level History and also a Level Govt and Politics. I also taught GCSE History for my entire career with excellent results at both A Level and GCSE. After being made redundant as a Head of Year I taught for two days a week near Castleford helping to make the History department the best achieving in the Delta chain of academies.
I love teaching History and like to think I have inspired students to study History but also to develop a life long love of the subject.

Availability: I can be available from Monday- Thursdays at convenient times for both parties. If I am not available I will always give lots of notice but can be contacted on via phone,email or SKYPE.

Experience: I have taught GCSE History for over 30 years with excellent results ranging from all of the Schools History units such as the American West, Medicine Through Time. I have also taught The Weimar Republic and all aspects of Hitler`s Germany as well as the Inter-War years and the Cold War from 1945 onwards. I have also taught the new specifications last year for Medicine, American West and Norman England.
At A Level I have taught many courses on British, Russian and European History as well as Govt and politics in GB and also American Politics and the US political system
