Muna

My name is Muna, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing and obtained a 2.1, I currently work as a passionate, patient and successful freelance tutor. I have 5 years in total of experience as a teacher, this includes teaching at secondary school. I also have a year of experience working in a teaching centre where I worked with students aged between 4-18 teaching small groups’ after-school English and Maths classes. During the day the centre taught children who had been excluded or suffer from conditions such as severe autism and ADHD where I developed skills such as extreme patience and how to cope deal with challenging situations quickly and effectively.

Availability: I am available to work flexible hours and open to travelling to the clients’ home, or teaching from my own home if that would be prefer.

Experience: I have helped many of my students exceed their own expectation, from younger students who are learning to read and write, to older students in their common entrance exams and GCSEs. I achieve this by building their confidence and, after close analysis, focusing on the areas which are holding them back and adapting my teaching methods to the individual students. This is a fulfilling and rewarding process which increases my passion for teaching.
