I`m Jen Mum of two to a 13 year old boy and 7 year old girl.
I consider myself bubbly, positive and passionate about learning and as a mum I have an understanding of how to motivate and encourage children.

In this my first year of becoming a Tutor I have helped four students to achieve or exceed their target Levels in their English examinations. Improving their confidence in the subject was a huge part of the process for all of them as well as helping them to develop strategies for writing in an essay style and in a creative style; helping them to see analysis of texts as a simple process rather than the complicated one they believed it to be.

Availability: I am currently available Thursday and friday during school hours, after school Mon to Thurs after 4.30pm.

Experience: A fully experienced secondary school English Teacher for 9 years with an up to date full DBS check.
Currently working in a Secondary School as a Learning coordinator and Teacher of English & Drama. promoting the importance of reading and undertaking 1-2-1 tuition.
I have tutored English as a second language with adults. I have also tutored younger students who need support and confidence with English and Literacy.
I am also an NCT marker and GCSE & A Level Examiner which gives me a superb insight into how to get students through tests and exams as I know exactly what the examiners are looking for.
