Experience: I have been tutoring GCSE students for the last 2+ years to help them pass and avoid the burden of a retake when they go into Sixth form. I understand how frustrating it is for students who don`t get it in class.

I also help the students in their non-exam years build strong maths foundations that will be needed as they advance through the years.

My lessons are simple and engaging, to be able to explain to them topics they don`t get at their level and have missed out on the learning opportunity to clarify it with their teacher after class. They are missed often one reason or another and also because the teacher has 29 other students to deal with. They missed out an important concept which then becomes even more confusing when it is a building blocks for understanding other topics.

Having been working in the classroom for 6+ years teaching and running Maths and Science intervention group sessions, I can see what works in helping the student understand and engage.

I tailor each student to their individual needs and I have an open communication with both parents and student to determine what topics need to be covered and what needs to be worked on.

Qualification wise, I hold a degree in Computer Science and have taken a Level 3 Award course in Education and Training. I also hold a (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) HLTA status and Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. I am DBS checked.
