Information about Patricia
My name is Trisha and I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2012, with a First Class degree in Psychology (BSc). I have also achieved the following A Level grades: Psychology (A), Religious Studies/ Theology (A), English Literature (A) and Mathematics (B). I have A* GCSE`s in English (language and literature), Mathematics, Religious Studies, Science and Geography. I would be confident in tutoring up to A level in Psychology and upto GCSE level for all other subjects mentioned. I am a hard working and organised individual with the ability to break down difficult concepts into easy, manageable chunks. I am extremely patient and I will persevere with any student. In addition to my own education, I also have 5 years experience working as a Teaching Assistant in both primary and secondary school settings and I am qualified as a Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. In addition, I have experience in tutoring students for their GCSE Maths and Science exams. I can also offer support with exam and revision techniques. I always ensure that I keep up to date with changes in the national curriculum so that my knowledge is fresh. I also have experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A Level.
Availability: I am available Monday to Friday from 5.30pm onwards and Saturday mornings. I also have some availability on Sundays.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have 6 years academic experience working as a learning support assistant in a secondary school. My main responsibility is to support the learning of the students in order to help them to access the curriculum. In my role I mainly work with children who have mild learning difficulties, therefore I have built up strong skills of explaining difficult concepts to students by breaking them down into simpler terms. I have thorough educational experience of working to GCSE, A Level and Degree level so I am comfortable and confident in how such qualifications work and what examiners will be looking for. I also have experience planning and teaching lessons for GCSE and A Level and tutoring students for their GCSEs.
