Information about Carla
I am a patient and understanding tutor who will work with you to understand which areas we need to develop in order for you to meet your target. I am flexible in my teaching style in order to best suit the needs of my students. I am passionate about helping students become more confident with their Maths and problem solving skills.
Availability: Evenings

Experience: I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2013 with a degree in Mathematics and Management, then completing my PGCE in secondary education from Manchester Metropolitan. I currently work as the assistant head of Maths in a local secondary school teaching both KS3, KS4 and Further Maths students. I therefore have knowledge of the current GCSE requirements and curriculum. I have particular interest in improving problem solving skills and building exam confidence.

Carla tutored our daughter in maths for around nine months in the run up to her GCSEs. She was projected to get a 5 but was struggling to hit that level with 9 months to go. Carla was brilliant, very calm and patient and was very enthusiastic in helping explain the subject. With her help my daughter managed to achieve a 6 in maths. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
