Currently I am taking on new students in the Exmouth area for a variety of subjects at multiple levels, please see my profile for further information.

I have been full-time teaching for just over three years, prior to that I was completing my Primary PGCE specialising in Science, at Exeter University. I have over 10 years of childcare experience in various forms and have a very creative manner, enabling me to relate to many children when teaching new or complex concepts.

My passion is teaching outdoor education and science at all levels however, I am very enthusiastic and successful at teaching phonics, writing, reading, and mathematics, just to name a few subjects.

I am a water sports enthusiast and love being outdoors, while teaching full-time I always incorporate outdoor education into lessons as much as possible and run regular Forest School and Beach School sessions with children aged 4-11 years old.

I am happy to teach group or individual sessions, regularly or as a one-off, depending on interest and children`s` needs. I am also available for online consultations and advice if you just need a little bit of extra support with home learning - this can be done via Skype or email.

Generally my charge for individual tutoring is £25 per hour, this includes local travel costs, progress reports for parents, test materials, reward systems (if applicable) and advice for parents with regards to home learning. Please note, this cost does not include travel costs for tutoring sessions more than 5 miles away from my home location in Exmouth, it also doesn`t include any resources that need to be brought in addition to standard textbooks or subscri ptions.
Please note, I am willing to offer discounts for multiple sessions booked at the same time, or for group sessions including up to 3 children.

I do not offer my first sessions free of charge because of the administrative and preparation work involved when taking on a new student. You are more than welcome to have an initial meeting via Skype or a brief phone call at no charge, to assess whether you are happy with what I can offer for you.
