Ama

Hi, my name is Ama, a secondary school teacher who has completed a Science PGCE at UCL. I have taught chemistry, biology and physics from ks3- 4 and can also teach biology at ks5.

I absolutely love science and have done several volunteering in schools, having taught in Ghana on two separate occasions. I also have a lot of patience and perseverance - not giving up on my students when they find topics difficult to comprehend.

I am knowledgeable within my
subject area and will go the extra mile to study any extra materials to help my student to attain the grades required. I believe in helping to build my students’ confidence to enable them to work independently to consolidate what they have learnt.

I also follow the national curriculum thoroughly, covering areas in depth where students may struggle.

Availability: as soon as possible, including evenings.

Experience: I have tutored a 15 year old boy with his biology and English. I studied Biomedical Science at at Brunel University and just completed my Science PGCE at UCL Institute Of Education. I can teach all three sciences well but Biology is my specialism.

I currently teach two primary school boys and one secondary school girl science.
