I`m an experienced primary school teacher with over 12 years experience and a passion for my craft. I try to engender a love of learning in my students, knowing that it`s hard to love something when you are experiencing obstacles and challenges.
As a tutor I work to smooth the learner`s path to success, taking a really personalised approach to match the learner`s needs and learning goals. I set manageable targets in order for the learner to experience success and build sensibly towards larger goals and the big picture.
Over recent months I have become aware of the new challenges children are facing, and new ways of working to help them to break through barriers particularly as they prepare to begin KS3.

Experience: I have been teaching in the primary phase for 13 years now, including 4 years in year 6 helping children prepare for SATs and beyond. I have also taught in years 3, 4 and 5. Having come to teaching as a change in career, I also carry a broad experience of living and working outside teaching, which helps me to bring both creativity and practicality to my practice.
