Hello, I am a UK qualified computer science teacher (QTS and daily DBS update) with over 20 years of experience teaching A Level and GCSE computer science and computing. I have a degree in computer science and have been head of computer science in several schools, most recently at a top grammar school. I love computer science and my whole career has been in this field, including many years in the IT industry. I`ve been programming since I was 8 years old!
I started tutoring as I love working with individuals and small groups, allowing me to help students solve problems and reach beyond their ambitions. My long experience means I know the subject in-depth, know how to achieve full marks for questions and help to show the real-world relevance of the topics.
My students say I am patient, engaging and help them to understand the subject. My biggest achievements are when students exceed their expectations and many of them go on to study the subject further, saying they were inspired to do so from my lessons!
