I have over 15 years experience in teaching Science at KS3 and 4 including Triple Science (Biology and Physics) as well as A level Biology and AS Physics. I have been Head of Science as well as leading KS4 and 5.
Since leaving full-time teaching I work part-time throughout the Milton Keynes region as a tutor supporting students across all the sciences at GCSE as well as A-Level Biology. I also work as a consultant supporting teacher trainees to become fully qualified teachers.

Availability: I am available during the weekday and after school. I am happy to teach face to face but with the understanding the client informs me if any member of the household has COVID. I also teach online if that is what the customer requires.

Experience: I taught for 15 years at a large comprehensive school in Milton Keynes. I therefore have much experience teaching GCSE double award science as well as Triple Science Biology and Physics. My students consistently met or exceeded their target grades and I quickly gained promotion to lead KS4 and 5 before becoming Head of Department.
I have been tutoring for 6 years. I have much experience with OCR and AQA separate sciences as well as the double award science. I also specialise In Biology A-Level. My aim when meeting my new tutee is to put them at ease but also determine what their issues are and explore ways of supporting them. In the vast majority of cases, the tutee responds very well to my approach and makes significant improvement not only in their final grades but also in their attitude towards the sciences. Indeed, one student changed her University course from English to Biology and I am pleased to say she is thoroughly enjoying her studies!
