Fully qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teacher of English language and literature having taught from KS2 up to A`level. I have helped countless children From yr 5 - 11 to gain; 11+ 13+ Common Entrance, GCSEs and A`levels.I am empathic, encouraging and friendly - happy to work at the pace of the child and have taught many with learning difficulties. Very good availability as I have recently retired. Children I taught GCSE to last year all gained 6.7s and 8s.

Experience: I have taught for 36 years with a short break when my children were born.
I have taught in a variety of secondary state schools around Bracknell and Reading, teaching yrs7-13 including 8 years in a special unit getting children back into education where through a variety of techniques I was able to reengage children back to learning. Over the last 10 years I have worked in Independent schools - the last was a prep school yrs 5-8 which then extended to year 11 and I led the development of this in the English department. I have had excellent relationships with all of my pupils which has been demonstrated in the good results I have achieved at all levels.
