I hold a Masters Degree in History from Cambridge University. I am a qualified teacher with more than 30 years experience of teaching A level History and Politics and have a proven track record of helping students achieve their full academic potential. My expert subject knowledge and my familiarity with the assessment regimes of all current exam board specifications means I can add value to the performance of any student I teach. I also have extensive experience of tutoring undergraduate students studying Modern History, Politics, and PPE. In 2024, I was recruited by a Cambridge college to support prospective applicants in A Level Politics, helping to prepare them for their exams.

Availability: I am available most weekday evenings and weekends during term time. Outside of term time, I am available most weekends together with weekday mornings and afternoons.

Experience: I have more than 30 years experience of teaching History and Politics in outstanding schools. I was Head of Politics for 10 years before becoming Head of Sixth Form. My extensive teaching experience has allowed me to forge a successful parallel career as an educational consultant, training teachers in how to teach History and Politics. I also run my own Higher Education consultancy helping UK and international students with university applications and personal statements.
