I am an MEng Aerospace Engineering graduate from the University of Sheffield with over four years of tutoring experience, specialising in Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

I studied Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-Level and achieved an A* in GCSE Mathematics before going on to study Aerospace Engineering at university. My degree has given me an advanced mathematical and technical background, as well as extensive experience applying Maths and Physics to real engineering problems.

Alongside my studies and professional experience, I have tutored students across KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I also previously worked at a Kumon centre in North London, supporting younger students with their Maths and learning development.

I particularly enjoy taking topics that initially seem difficult or overwhelming and breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. My aim is not simply to help students reach the correct answer, but to make sure they understand why a method works and become confident applying it independently.

I am patient, approachable, and happy to adapt my teaching style to each student. This is reflected in the 5-star feedback I have received from previous students and parents on Tutor Hunt.

Experience: I have over 8 years of tutoring experience and have worked with students of different ages, abilities, and confidence levels.

My lessons are tailored to the individual student. I first identify their current understanding, the areas they find difficult, and what they are working towards. From there, I adapt lessons around their needs rather than using the same approach for every student.

I encourage students to attempt questions independently and think through problems before I step in. When they become stuck, I identify the specific point causing difficulty and work through it clearly and logically with them. This helps students develop genuine understanding rather than becoming dependent on memorising solutions.

For students preparing for GCSEs and A-Levels, I can also focus lessons on exam technique, problem-solving, past-paper questions, and identifying recurring mistakes that may be costing marks.

Previous feedback on Tutor Hunt has highlighted my patience, clear explanations, preparation, and ability to work at the student’s pace. Most importantly, I want students to leave lessons feeling more confident in their own ability than when they started.
