I am an experienced Science teacher, tutor, and former Head of Science, having taught for over 10 years in the classroom, and tutored for over 5 years. I now have three very young children and so have taken a hiatus from the classroom to care for my children full time. However I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest curricula and putting my vast experience to use by tutoring students around my current work and family life.

I also offer group tutoring which is not shown in the course options (no drop down box was applicable), which has the added benefits of peer support, enthusiastic scientific discourse, and motivation for the students enrolled. Not to mention, this is at a lower rate than one-to-one sessions, so good value for money.

Availability: Currently I have availability for Monday evenings, Tuesday day and evening time, Wednesday evenings and Thursday day time for 1:1 sessions.

If you are an A-level or Home-Schooled student I do have weekday availability that we can utilise to fit your current schedule (eg using free periods, late starts, early finishes etc), which should provide more options for suitable days and times.

Experience: I have experience in teaching (and tutoring) Years 7-11 in all sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Physics. I offer GCSE and iGCSE tutoring in all three subjects, as well as the combined science GCSE.
My specialism is in Biology, and I teach and tutor Biology AS and A level, as well as for the International Baccalaureate.

I have experience in tutoring failing students to help them pass their exams, with quite a few achieving average or above average grades. Most of my tutees achieve, on average, two grade boundaries above their current grades. I also have helped more successful students achieve the high grades needed to gain acceptance into some of the world`s top universities.
