I work with people from where they are, clearing up difficulties wherever they exist whether this involves working with material they (should have) covered some years ago, practising current material to build confidence, or extending current material to show why it is useful in maths, or whatever is best for the individual pupil.
I am a strong believer in helping people understand maths, at their level (whether that is above or below the general class level), as I am convinced this will give a much firmer boost to their self-confidence and performance in maths and develop and deepen their mathematical ability than exam cramming ever can. However, I am quite willing to practice exam papers when an exam is coming up.
I ensure people work hard at maths but also make maths tuition friendly and enjoyable.
I will teach anyone,at any level, who is at least 14 years old, and who wants to learn.

Experience: I have worked as a maths tutor since 2009, and have helped many GCSE and A-level pupils in that time. One pupil in particular came to me in year 10 with his grades at a `C` and going downwards (before I met him) he achieved an `A` in his GCSE the following year. Another was predicted a `D` in his GCSE (at the end of year 8) he achieved an `A` at the end of year 10, and went on (with my help) to achieve a `B` in his A-level mathematics.
Most of my pupils have no special needs; but I have had several pupils with Aspergers and get on well with them. (I managed to take one of them from U to A* in 3 months; but obviously I can`t promise that again.) I am willing to try pupils with other special needs
