Hi everyone,
My name is Mark and I am a 29-year-old primary school teacher based in Wandsworth and currently teach Year 3 in the Ealing borough. I have been teaching for 3 years now (2 years in London, 1 year in Manchester) and absolutely love it! I pride myself on having a really fun relationship with the children in my class each year. I am going to start to offer my services for private tutoring this year, either with face-to-face sessions or through online zoom catch up lessons, these could be individually or as a group.
I want to make tutoring as enjoyable and engaging as my lessons within the school and will be looking to help children in creative and innovative ways to help make progress and get everyone back-on-track. Having mostly been working from home since March I completely understand the limitations with the online services available to children, these do not necessarily help plug knowledge gaps in children’s learning. It is important children receive as much support as possible to catch up quickly on the learning lost due to the current global pandemic.
I am offering tutoring for all primary years (Year 1-6). My most recent experience is in Years 3 and 4. Although I am also qualified to teach all Year other groups. In particular, I specialise in Mathematics and English, but have a good knowledge of all primary subjects. I have also trained in Singapore Maths and believe it is important to use resources to help cement children’s understanding of problems through a visual representation either with equipment or illustration.

Availability: I am working from home as a teacher so I am very flexible.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I have various experience within LKS2. I specialise in year 3 and 4 having qualified and stayed within these areas since qualifying. I have tutored in Year 2 in the past and I am very flexible to the needs of the child.
