Melina

Hi my name is Melina and I have just recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with First Class Honours for the Bachelor of Music (BMus) Degree. I am currently in the first year of my Master of Arts Course at the Royal Academy of Music, where I was awarded an entrance scholarship, under Tessa Nicholson. Over the four years at the RAM, I was supported by the the ‘Trustee of the Athena Award’ as well as the Sir John Cass’s Foundation.

I have performed concerts around the world from a very young age in countries such as Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Denmark and the UK. I has had the pleasure in performing in prestigious venues such as Athens’s biggest classical venue, ‘Megaro Mousikis’, Wigmore Hall, the Southbank Centre as well as having the opportunity to perform at Buckingham Palace, in the presence of The Prince of Wales. Putting myself to the test, I have taken part in both national and international piano competitions such as the the Jaques Samuels Intercollegiate Piano Competition, the International Liszt Competition, the Iris Dyer Piano Prize and the AESS Courtney Kenny Award, winning prizes in all of them.

Last but not least, I`ve had the opportunity of taking part in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Kathryn Stott, Steven Osborne, Andras Schiff, Paul Badura-Skoda, Dmitri Alexeev and Pascal Devoyon. Future plans include a recital at St. Paul’s Church, Bedford.

Experience: I have had the pleasure in teaching since the age of 15 and have over 8 years experience. I have students of different kind of levels and ages. I approach each student differntly, depending on their needs; from though I perform regularly, I dedicate the same amount of time to teaching my students.
