Hi,

My name is Steven, I am a professional visiting math and science tutor. I work predominately with KS2 - A-level students ensuring that they achieve the best possible grades. But I have also helped numerous students with entrance exams for leading private schools as well as adult students who need to complete numeracy tests for work or higher education.
During school hours I currently work with disadvantaged children who are unable to attend school due to behavioral or learning difficulties.
I aim to ensure each lesson is clearly structured with the student taking the lead to ensure they have a full understanding of the topics, highlighting example of questions on past exam papers to show them what the examiners are looking for to achieve top marks. Parents should not underestimate the importance of revision and exam techniques, lessons just on these topics can also be booked.
Most importantly I want the students to find the lessons fun, I believe that enthusiasm is contagious and no matter how difficult the student finds the subject we can always find a new enjoyable way of teaching it. This is highlighted in my excellent feedback from students` parents.

Group lessons are available.

Availability: 4pm-9pm weekdays, 8am-2pm weekends.

During holiday time I my availability will be:

first lesson starting at 9am, last lesson starting at 8pm Monday to Saturday.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: Apart from working with 11-15 year old for their entrance exams and GCSE`s, as well as A-level math students. I also work with adult learns who need to improve their maths knowledge or further education or employment tests.

I have a great deal of experience working with students with learning difficulties and behavioral issues

Finally for the past two years I have dealt with a large amount of students who are not native English speakers and therefore have experience ensuring that key mathematics and scientific topics are clearly explained in simple terms.

I have had and continue to receive excellent feedback from the parents as I try to ensure that each session is challenging, educational and most importantly for the child fun.
