Hello, I am the Head of History and Politics at a 1500 student secondary school in Milton Keynes. I have been qualified since 2015 and specialise in A Level, with both Year 12 and 13 Politics students, A Level History OCR and GCSE History AQA.
I am able to help with content, exam practice and knowledge retrieval in an accessible and friendly way, where I can help you achieve your very best. We work to your pace and develop your confidence throughout the sessions.
I have successfully tutored students from those who got E grades before our sessions up to B grades and A* students who have got into Cambridge, Warwick and Nottingham.
I was an examiner for Edexcel A Level Politics in 2019 and A Level History AQA in 2018. This gives me an enhanced insight into what the exam boards are looking for and can help you achieve the top grades in exams.

Excellent tutor. Provided around 30+ lessons to my daughter, which greatly helped her. Highly recommended, greatly improved my daughter`s essay writing skills. Helped greatly with the past paper questions, this greatly helped my daughter in her actual A-level exams. The only disappointment is we didn`t have Lauren earlier in the Academic year.

I was delighted to find Lauren after realising that my daughter needed extra support with her A Level Government & Politics. Lauren is very experienced and knowledgeable. She hones in on what is required to gain marks in exams and is patient. My daughter is already finding the subject less overwhelming as topics and skills are being broken down. I have found other less experienced tutors assume a certain level and some skills are glossed over or left behind. I find Lauren`s own teaching experience means that she is able to reach out to students who struggle or are less confident. I have no doubt that Lauren can also deliver A* level tutoring to those who need that little push to get the top marks.

Lauren is an excellent teacher. She has great subject knowledge and she is very familiar with the syllabus. Her rich experience in teaching helped me greatly during exam preparation, where she was very precise and coherent when teaching and patient when explaining difficult concepts. Lauren’s lessons helped me become very confident and prepared for me exam. I really appreciate her help.
