I am a highly experienced and motivated teacher with just over 10 years of experience in the classroom and leadership positions in schools.
Having recently become a parent I have been able to reduce my hours at work and now I`m in the fortunate position of being able to work with students outside of school to boost their confidence and attainment through my tutoring services.

Experience: I have been teaching since 2006 and have worked in Comprehensive schools as well as a well known Trafford Grammar School. In my career I have taken additional responsibilities to raise the standards of teaching and pupil outcomes in leadership roles whilst, more recently, I have begun to expand my own work independently as an education consultant and private tutor.

I hold a BA (Hons) in English Literature in addition to my teaching qualification and have been accredited externally as an Advanced Skills Teacher which I pursued as a result of establishing a proven track record of outstanding results with my students and the teachers who I have supported in developmental and leadership roles.

My experience includes working with a wide range of student abilities from highly able students to students with specific SEN. As a GCSE examiner also, I have acquired a comprehensive and detailed understanding not only of the curriculums but also of the specific requirements of the external examinations.

I offer both Primary and Secondary tutoring in English as well as 11+ preparation in small group settings for Y5 pupils. The entrance examination groups that I lead are both popular and successful with the young people and their parents.
