My name is Shane and I am currently doing a Welsh degree at Bangor University. As someone who has learnt Welsh myself, I understand the struggles of learning a new language. I am a qualified teaching assistant of working with children from the age of 3 to 16 including working with SEN children.

Due to high demand in oversea students learning Welsh, I also keep slots available in my evening to suit you.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: When teaching, I look at what the student has been learning and cater the lessons to their strengths and weaknesses focusing on oral and written, learning new patterns and consolidating old ones. I will devise the lessons with formal (written) or informal (speech) welsh, depending on the students needs/wants. Coming from a Welsh for Adults background, I understand the struggles of learning Welsh and am very patient. I will also suggest a number of activities run through the medium of Welsh to help you build your confidence.

I have plenty of experience of working in schools from nursery age to year 11.
