I have been working as a tutor for five years. I recently achieved a distinction in my MA in Legal and Political Theory at UCL, having graduated from Oxford University with a high 2:1 in Philosophy and Theology. I am an experienced and friendly tutor with flexible availability. I am enthusiastic about my subjects (History, English and Philosophy) and aim for my tutoring to help with both exam technique but also general interest in the area.

- Studied the International Baccalaureate, taking Philosophy, Physics and History at Higher Level and Enlgish, Maths and French at Standard Level, getting 41 points overall and full marks in my Philosophy coursework.

Alongside tutoring I work in politics, for a cross-party campaigning group.

Availability: I am available in the evenings after 6pm and on weekends.

Experience: My previous experience includes tutoring in English Language and Literature, Philosophy and History for ages 11-18.
In tutoring, the key is translating the material into a way that the student understands: you can be fantastic academically but struggle to teach the material in an approachable manner. Having struggled with dyslexia myself, I am good at helping people who are struggling for one reason or another, and am patient in finding different ways to explain the work.
I tutored one pupil for three months for his English GCSE, in which he went up by two grades. I also tutored two pupils for their English and History GCSEs, in which they both ended up getting As. I have also had pupils for Philosophy A-Level and provided mentoring through their coursework and their Oxbridge entrance.
I lead revision sessions for Oxford Finals with students in the year below, helping them run through the material and taking them through the best techniques to revise.
