I constantly endeavour to inspire students and motivate them to develop their own desire to learn and listen. All lessons strive for musical excellence and are tailored to meet the needs, aims, and learning styles of each student.

I specialise in viola and violin performance lessons although my thorough academic musical background has provided me with a wealth of experience for teaching musicology and guiding research.

I am highly experienced at teaching beginners, intermediate, and advanced students; both children and adult students are welcome! In addition to my private studio, I have been the viola teacher and mentor for Sistema England, Chineke! Foundation’s Junior Orchestra, and Pro Corda chamber music courses.

I have three years experience as a Viola Teaching Assistant at universities in the United States where I taught individual lessons to undergraduates and music minor postgraduates, individual scales classes, coached undergraduate chamber ensembles, lead orchestra sectional rehearsals, and invigilated undergraduate assessments.

I have attended workshops that focus upon child safety and welfare, and have cleared enhanced DBS/CRB checks.

As a freelance violist I have experience playing in professional orchestras in both Britain and the United States. During my time as leader of the viola section of the Penn State Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, I performed at Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center, New York and Heinz Hall, Pittsburgh. As a chamber musician, my string quintet was presented first prize in the Southard Music Competition 2014, and performed at the Lone Tree Arts Center, Colorado.
