I am employed as a data scientist developing scientific instrumentation for use in chemical, physical, life and earth sciences. My focus is on leveraging machine learning and mathematical modelling. I am immersed in many applications of mathematics, computing and the sciences and enjoy sharing that knowledge to help others build a similarly rewarding career worthy of their ambitions.

I will teach mathematics, sciences, computing and data science/machine learning from GCSE to adult learners.

Availability: Monday-Friday 17.30-2200
Saturday-Sunday 10.00-22.00

Experience: I now work in data science for analytical instrument design. I also provide training courses in data science for the Biochemical Society, and for the Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Bristol School of Mathematics.

I previously held an early career fellowship at the University of bristol researching new applications of MRI in stroke and dementia (largely medical physics, computing and neuroscience). Teaching masters and doctoral students was a component of the position.

Prior to that, I worked as a research scientist at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in physical biochemistry (new methods of investigating protein structure and behaviour).

Before that, I obtained a PhD in physical biochemistry and BSc in biochemistry with chemistry (first class, top of class) from the University of Southampton, where I also taught laboratory skills for undergraduate groups and provided personal tuition in physical chemistry.
