I have an absolute passion for both English and teaching. With dedicated enthusiasm I specialise in English literature and providing professional and high-level teaching of language analysis and essay crafting. What’s more, I have a keen interest and ability for poetry and creative writing - offering a variety of strategies and activities to help those succeed in what can be often difficult English related tasks.

I am currently in my fourth year of qualified teaching and I have experience in teaching and tutoring ages between KS2 and KS5. More recently, I have gained experience in teaching and assessing the AQA Step Up to English programme for low ability GCSE learners.

I am currently on maternity leave but am keen to continue delivering 1-2-1 tuition and engage with students whether face to face or using an online platform. Should we undertake face to face tuition, please rest assured knowing all procedures will be followed in line with restrictions and precautions for COVID-19.

Fees:
KS2 - £30 p/h
KS3 - £35 p/h
KS4 - £35 p/h
KS5 - £40 p/h

Availability: Weekdays from 12p.m onwards

Saturdays between 11a.m and 3p.m (Please note weekend fees are +£5 to standard fees p/h)

Experience: I have been teaching since September 2017. Before this I was studying at the prestigious University of Exeter as a PGCE student and before this as an undergraduate at St Mark and St John’s studying a BA in English literature. I was awarded a 2:1 for my undergraduate degree and an “outstanding” final grading from Exeter. I have a wide variety of experience teaching all levels of ability and confidence. I am able to fully adapt lessons and one-to-one sessions to accommodate the needs of all my pupils.
