Information about Alihassan

I am an incredibly enthusiastic, friendly and passionate teacher. I am currently studying Medicine at King`s College London but have had plenty of tutoring experience in a range of tutoring centres/schools.

I have excelled in all subjects at school achieving 3 A*s at A-Level as well as 13A*s at GCSE. Over the years I have worked at polishing my teaching skills where I am now able to convey my knowledge in a clear and decisive manner.

__Qualifications__

A2 Levels: 3 A*s - Maths (A*) Biology (A*) Chemistry (A*)

AS Levels: 5 As - Maths (A) Biology (A) Chemistry (A) Latin (A) Critical Thinking (A)

GCSEs: 13A*s - Including: Maths (A*) Chemistry (A*) Biology (A*) Latin Literature (A*) Latin Language (A*) English Language (A*) English Literature (A*)

Generally, I encourage the use of tests and questions so I`m able to assess my student`s knowledge on a certain topic. I tend to use diagrams/demonstrations to ensure that the student not only learns the topic but also has a thorough understanding of the course content which in turn makes them well equipped to answer most (if not all) of the questions presented in his/her examination.

`The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrated. The great teacher inspires...`

I take great pride in not only educating my students but also assuring that they gain a certain thirst for the subject. My ethos to teaching is to try to ensure that the student not only is willing to learn but is also passionate to learn more about the topic.

There might be areas which puzzle my students, but over the years I have picked up a range of techniques which will enable me to paint a clearer picture to each and every one of my students.

Availability: I am free to teach any day!

Willing to travel: 1 miles

Experience: During my gap year I worked full time at a tutoring centre in South London. I mainly focused on group teaching for students of all ages, however there were a large number of occasions where I was able to deliver one to one lessons to a high level.

I found that this experience allowed me to understand how to present different techniques of teaching to various students according to their style of learning. I have also done volunteering work at a other institutions and schools where I enhanced my interpersonal skills and was exposed to teaching differing subjects.

I am currently volunteering at a local school whereby I conduct group sessions; this has enabled me to polish and my refine my current teaching skills which I hope to incorporate in my future tutoring sessions.

Over the past couple of years I have successfully taught: Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths
