Hi! I`m Abi, and I`m a passionate, friendly Veterinary Student!
In classrooms, there has always been an enormous phobia of maths and the sciences, where the textbook problems presented in class often don`t reflect the demands of the exam questions. My aim is to tackle this phobia, familiarising students with contextualising the information that they are given in the classroom so you can access it easily and quickly in any exam situation. For this, I find a thinking-based approach, combined with problem-based learning, will prove helpful in building up your depth of knowledge; this is done through gradually increasing the complexity of ideas in a lesson, to allow our brains to `warm up`, and by tackling example exam questions together!

Experience: In the past, I have tutored a group of 7-11 year olds in French, and I completed this over a year last year. I have also recently, since June, begun offering 1:1 private French tuition in my local area, and have found both these experiences incredibly rewarding for both my students and me!
During my time at Sixth Form, I was a maths mentor for younger years, and often had to talk through problems that they wanted help with; sometimes, even having someone explain the problem from a different perspective can nudge us towards the right direction to solving it!
