With over 35 years of experience, I particularly enjoy working with those who want to start maths again or feel very anxious because they seem so far behind the rest of their group. I love teaching maths from A level and BTEC all the way to degree level engineering maths and also enjoy teaching basic engineering modules. My extensive teaching experience has also included preparation for teachers’ QTS tests, pharmacy calculations, business and economics maths and chemical engineering topics. I thrive on challenge and giving people confidence with maths, something I am so passionate about that I have written published book chapters.
I am slightly deaf so prefer email and text messages for initial contact. I am happy to teach in person if people come to me in Eaglescliffe. Alternatively, I can teach via Zoom.First lesson free.

Taught maths on Durham University Foundation Programme for more than twenty years. Currently tutoring Online modules in Engineering and Maths for Teesside University (TUOLE). Have a PGCE in maths education,QTS, 1st class Chemical Engineering degree and doctorate in Education.
