I am a qualified Secondary School History teacher with a degree in History and a passion for making the past engaging and accessible. I have also worked as a Primary School Teaching Assistant and bring nearly 20 years of voluntary experience supporting children and young people. Alongside my teaching career, I have a background in journalism, which has sharpened my ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. I strive to create enjoyable, inclusive lessons that build confidence, stretch understanding, and inspire a genuine love of learning.

Experience: I am a fully qualified Secondary School History Teacher with experience teaching across Key Stages 1-4 in state Primary and Secondary education. I gained my PGCE and QTS in Secondary History from the University of Sussex, having previously completed a degree in History. Alongside my classroom teaching, I have worked as a Primary School Teaching Assistant, giving me experience supporting pupils of different ages and abilities. I also bring nearly 20 years of voluntary experience working with children and young people through church and residential camps. In addition, my background in journalism has sharpened my ability to communicate ideas clearly and engagingly, a skill I carry into my teaching and tutoring practice.
