I have experience teaching across different boards, including Edexcel, AQA and CIE.
I am an approachable and dynamic teacher with fourteen years’ experience and three years as a Head of English. My approach is supportive and adaptable, whilst also making learning enjoyable. I believe fostering creativity and encouraging confidence is essential for progress in English.
Availability: I would be available to tutor KS4-5 students, between 5-8pm, during the week. I can also offer online tuition.
My main areas of curriculum knowledge are: AQA GCSE, Edexcel IGCSE, OCR or Edexcel A Level Literature, AQA A Level Language

Laura is brilliant. She managed to quickly understand where our son needed support and has been very effective in delivering teaching and content that he finds engaging and enjoyable. After only the first couple of sessions he felt much more confident in his abilities and was producing better work. We would highly recommend Laura.

We contacted Laura at the end of January 18 after our son Joe was disappointed to only achieve an E in his English Literature mock exam. Laura tutored Joe once a week for the next 4 months - and I am delighted to say that he got his GCSE results this morning and achieved an A in English Lit. What a turnaround - E to A in just a few months! Massive thank you to Laura - he couldn`t have done it without you!
