I currently work in publishing, but previously I was an English Lecturer at Fareham College . At the college I taught GCSE English, as well as Functional Skills English. I specialise in teaching students who are struggling to reach the crucial C grade in GCSE English and tutoring students who simply want to improve their grades.

I have recently completed a BA degree in History with English Literature at the University of Hertfordshire and graduated with a high 2:1.

I have four high grade A Levels in History, English Literature, Classical Civilisation, Music, and a Grade 8 in Classical singing.

In addition, at school I achieved 14 GCSE`s, the results of which were:
7 A`s, 1 A star , 4 B`s and 2 C`s.

I am a friendly open person and I genuinely understand the struggles of studies and the pressure on students at any level of study. I will work hard with my student to help them to achieve their aims, improve their skills, but most importantly feel more confident about their subject knowledge.

Availability: I am no longer taking on students.

Experience: I began tutoring at University in 2011 and have tutored at least two students a year since then. All of my students have achieved at least a C or B at GCSE and my A Level students have all exceeded their predicted grades.

I recently tutored an A level student studying History and English who was achieving an average of D`s, C`s and E`s in their initial A level marks. I tutored the student for one academic year and their results improved extensively, the student finally achieved individual A`s in their coursework, and B`s and C`s overall.

Another student I tutored recently was achieving D`s in their GCSE English and GCSE History work. I tutored the student in the latter half of the academic year and in their final marks they achieved an A star, an A, and a B in their History.
