I`m Dr , or Luke, I have a masters degree in chemistry and a PhD in computational chemistry. So I specialise in chemistry but I also have an affinity for maths and a great love for biology. My teaching style is calm and meticulous, emphasising clarity and patience. I take time to break down complex concepts into simpler chunks and I encourage questions and foster a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their doubts. I tailor each lesson to the student`s needs, adapting my approach to suit their learning style, pace and challenges.

Experience: I have previous experience in person tutoring, where I provided one-to-one sessions for KS2 pupils preparing for their SATS, with excellent outcomes. I currently work in a secondary school as a science technician, where I have also taken on a significant amount of tutoring for both KS3 and KS4 pupils. These sessions range from 1 to 6 students of all ability, and I am making a hugely positive impact to their grades in maths and science. I also run a homework club every lunchtime, where pupils come to complete their homework in, which I am there to assist with. This is something I greatly enjoy, as it is a time where I get to know the pupils on a more personal level, which I believe is extremely important in order to foster excellent relationships with the pupils and understand how their individual brains work.
