I`m Imogen, nice to meet you! I am a Public Health and Biomedical Science grad with a passion for maths and science. My tutoring style is all about tailored sessions, real-world examples, and a no-judgment zone for questions. Whether you`re tackling GCSE or A-level, I`m here to make the journey enjoyable and effective.

Tutoring is not just about transferring knowledge; it`s about building confidence and making learning an enjoyable experience. I am committed to tailored sessions, a friendly atmosphere, and a no-judgment approach . Some concepts can be hard to wrap your head around! My goal is to create a space where you feel inspired, confident, and ready to embrace learning.

Lessons usually run 1-2 hours, depending on what you prefer. I charge a rate of £20/hr for GCSE and £25/hr for A-level - with a £5 travel fee for in-person sessions requiring a bus/long commute. I am familiar with all exam boards for both GCSE and A-level/Highers, and have a large database of past papers, mark schemes, diagrams, and specifications. This includes OCR, AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, and SQA National 5 and Highers. Please let me know the relevant exam board and any specific topics you want to focus on when booking a session!

Availability: All days of the week 8am-8pm, except Tuesday past 5pm.

Experience: Throughout my time in schooling and university, I was always the classmate to go to to explain complicated concepts clearly. This was particularly true in science classes as these were my favourite subjects, which led to my degree choice. I think we all have different brains that learn in different ways, so I will strive to find a way of teaching that clicks with you personally.

I am currently tutoring 20 GCSE and A-level/IB/Highers students in maths, chemistry, and biology. I also tutor the UCAT for medicine and dentistry as I scored in the top 1% (3330 B1).

My tutoring is mostly online as this allows me to meet people from further away, gives more flexibility to timings and fitting sessions in, and can have recorded sessions! I am also available for in-person tutoring in York, but this may incur a travel fee, please ask for details.
