Graduated with a First Class Honours in BEng Mechanical Engineering from De Montfort University. I have now started MSc Motorsport Engineering part time at Oxford Brooke`s University, and would like the opportunity to help to teach other students.

Availability: I am available to tutor during the evenings within the week. Additionally I have a car so am happy to travel to meet the student at their home, or a public place such as a library.

Experience: I have 2 years of experience of tutoring at GCSE level, and also during my time at university I helped tutor struggling students on my course during their First and Second years.
I believe the best approach when teaching maths is to start by explain the base concept so that the student understands the initial building blocks, and from there to practice with questions on that topic. After being shown how to work through a question step by step, I find that students are quickly able to understand the concept and then become comfortable in completing questions on that topic by themselves.
I believe that a calm, patient, and relaxed atmosphere is the best way to encourage learning.
