Alexis

I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge studying Human, Social and Political Sciences. My specialist areas are Biological Anthropology and Sociology, but have also taken International Relations and Social Anthropology modules. I thoroughly enjoy my course, and am always keen to get other students excited about learning! I am studying Biosocial Medical Anthropology at UCL 2020-2021.

As for my experience with the English education system, I took a mixture of GCSEs and iGCSEs, and then took the International Baccalaureate Diploma course which is recognised internationally as a kind of A-Level alternative that is taught globally. I obtained 11 A*s at GCSE in English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, French, Spanish, Latin, Music and Geography. I got 44 points out of a possible 45 doing the International Baccalaureate, where I took Higher Level Biology, Chemistry, and English, and Standard Level Geography, Italian, and Maths Studies.

Experience: I have tutored students in GCSE Biology and Chemistry, and KS3 Maths. I have also helped primary and secondary school students with essay structures for English.

I have worked at an international preschool in Japan, and have had extensive experience working with children through Girl Guiding UK and working at the University of Cambridge Holiday Playscheme.

I am comfortable tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, and English up to A-Level, and Geography up to GCSE. I am able to work with KS3 students studying French and Maths as well.
