Hi, I am Laura and I have recently graduated from the University of York with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry. During my degree, I took additional modules in mathematics and physics. Furthermore, I achieved 3 A*s at A-level in the following subjects: chemistry, mathematics, and physics.

I am passionate about tutoring science and maths, as I like linking these subjects to everyday life examples to help students understand key concepts. I have a great passion for online tutoring with an excellent record for helping students understand key concepts and ace their exams.

I believe hard work, dedication, and confidence are the fundamentals to achieving top grades and practising exam techniques via past papers and exam-style questions.

I am currently studying an occupational therapy degree. Outside my academic studies, I play the flute and piano. I have played in many concerts and ensembles throughout the years.

I am fully DBS-checked and all sessions are recorded. Lessons can be re-watched for up to a fortnight after the lesson.

Also, I have experience tutoring students with long-term health conditions and SEND secondary students to achieve their potential.

Experience: I have tutored students mathematics at both KS3 and GCSE. One of my foundation GCSE mathematic students went from a grade 2 to a grade 5 in six months. I believe hard work, practice and confidence is the key to sucess in exams.
I have also tutored students GCSE chemistry and helped them improve their understanding in the subject and acheive their potential in their exams.
