Hi! I have recently graduated with a First in English Literature from University College London (UCL) and I am looking to utilise my interdisciplinary skill set to help students produce cogent, creative and captivating work.

I have spent the last sixteen years of my life working, professionally, as an actor. I began my career in musical theatre, making my West End debut at the age of 6, before performing at various theatres across London, including The London Palladium, The Prince Edward Theatre and Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. I then expanded my career by branching out into film and television. My extensive background in performance has led me to a fervent and continued fascination with the theatre - I am pursuing this interest in the form of a Masters at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

Further, my work as an actor, I believe, wholly motivated my desire to study English at a higher level. The synergies between acting and literature are immense. My professional experience, from a young age, taught me the importance of time-keeping, and helped me to understand how to utilise language creatively and concisely. My overwhelming desire is to help future generations of students uncover these abilities themselves by imbuing all of my lessons with a potent blend of creativity and structural rigidity. Words are what I get really excited about, and I hope, with a little bit of guidance, that my future tutees may also discover this excitement.

Availability: Weekends are preferred, but I am happy to work during the week as well.

Undergraduate: BA English Literature from UCL (First Class Honours)
Postgraduate: MA Theatre Lab at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), (Ongoing)

I have a copious amount of tutoring experience and have students ranging from Year 9 to Final-Year Undergraduate.

I was also an academic mentor at UCL for two years (a paid role that required you to provide academic support to a group of first-year undergraduates). Due to my success in the position, I was then promoted to the role of Senior Mentor in my final year, overseeing the department’s programme.

I also volunteered for a year as part of UCL’s Academy Mentoring Scheme, working on a one-to-one basis with students studying for their A-levels. The types of activities included were: discussing works of literature studied at A Level, helping develop close reading and critical commentary skills, and offering suggestions for further reading.
