Information about Emily
I have been tutoring informally for a number of years with friends and family and in the past year I have expanded on this to tutoring through a professional site. I have worked and tutored with individuals with dyslexia, autism and other learning disabilities in a variety of settings.
I am currently a final year Veterinary student at the University of Bristol, hence all tutoring is based around my studies and I try to be as flexible as possible for everyone. During the current Covid-19 crisis I will be tutoring exclusively online until further notice. I try to keep learning fun and involved for students and often use lots of diagrams and objects to help with learning, as I find this helps develop a more rounded understanding of the subject.
I have worked with children for a number of years, both tutoring and in my role at a riding school where I was often teaching and coaching young people.
I am able to tutor in Key stages 1, 2 and 3, GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Other subjects upon request.
Availability: Due to the current Covid-19 situation I am available every day, and can set up online tutoring plans according to your needs.
Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: Helping my younger brother and family friends for GCSE and other friends and peers for A level. I have taught and coached equestrian sport with children, teens and adults for a number of years.
I have been tutoring through Tutorhunt now for over a year, predominantly in Mathematics and this is probably my favourite subject to teach.
I took Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics for A level, and German to AS level, achieving A grades in all, along with all GCSE high marks across the board. As a school student I wasn`t always confident in myself and my abilities, which held me back from gaining the most from my studies. I therefore understand the need to develop this in the students I work with today, as enjoying studies is an important factor in being able to learn to the best of your ability.

Emily was very good at helping my daughter revise for physics and chemistry just before her GCSES and boosting her confidence.

My daughter Ellie, finished taking her 3rd Maths O level (resit) paper today. We booked 2 lessons per week with Emily for the last 4 weeks. She has made a huge difference to Ellie`s knowledge and confidence. We will not get the results until January, but Ellie is feeling really good about the prognosis! Thank you, Emily! Superstar!
