Hi there! I have been tutoring in mathematics for almost ten years now. I really enjoy tutoring, tutoring is so much fun and I think enthusiasm is infectious! Enthusiasm is essential for mathematics as it is a notoriously difficult subject. I personally found mathematics very difficult early on at school so, I know some of the stumbling blocks children can come across. I qualified as a Secondary Mathematics teacher in 2017, enjoy exploring new places and cooking (not always well)....life shouldn`t revolve entirely around mathematics :)!

I have been a very successful tutor. I attribute this success to being extremely approachable and to my ability to take any situation in my stride. I have some experience in teaching children, who deal with various learning barriers (but would like a lot more training, to be a better tutor for children with specific learning needs and because every child is an individual). I have a HUGE amount of experience with children who absolute loathe mathematics!

I currently tutor children from 10 years old up to 19, but am especially abreast of GSCE mathematics and what the syllabus demands. I tailor notes for each student depending on ability and the way they learn (we are all different afterall)...I also try and make sure it`s all a bit of fun as well!

Availability: Daytime and evenings Mon to Fri and sometimes weekend slots!

Experience: Ten years of tutoring all ages and abilities. Six years as a Girl Guide Leader working with girls aged 10 to 16. Qualified teacher. I most recently worked as a teacher at the local college where I taught students of a Year 10 age group as well as those retaking their GCSEs.
