A patient, calm and experienced primary school teacher and SENDCo.
I usually tutor face to face but would like to start online tutoring to reach more students.
I have 13 years experience as a primary school teacher specialising in early years and key stage 1. I am currently working as a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) at a junior school. I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who loves to be creative with teaching.
I have experience teaching children from Foundation stage to Year 6 of all abilities. I am able to differentiate work according to specific needs and areas to develop.
I have worked with whole classes, small groups and on a one to one basis including those with special educational needs.
Availability: Fridays 9.30-2 in term time
Extra availability in holiday periods
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have worked with Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children and taught all aspects of the curriculum, including delivering the Year 2 and Year 6 Sats. I have led Science, RE, phonics and early reading as subjects. I have been responsible for training newly qualified teachers and have mentored PGCE students. I am a serving governor for a local primary school.
I am currently working as a SENDCo at a junior school.
I have tutored a variety of students and have worked with one family for over 7 years, tutoring both children throughout primary school.
