Information about Anjali
I am a third-year medical student at Kings College London and am really interested in using my knowledge and experience to help other students. I believe that I have the right personal qualities and am diligent, reliable, personable and positive. I have experienced first-hand the demands and pressures that students face when sitting exams. Applying for medicine has been a very competitive and stressful process, however it has taught me the importance of time management, organisation and maintaining focus to achieve my goals.
I have continued to follow these principles and have maintained very good progress in my termly examinations during medical school. I would now like to use my skills and experiences to support other students and help them to achieve their ambitions.
Availability: I am available for lessons most weekday evenings and weekend slots are dependent on balancing university work, but I try to be as flexible as possible!
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: - GCSE and A Level tutor for Metropolitan tutors I am currently tutoring GCSE sciences and A Level Chemistry and have also had past students who I have tutored in A Level Biology and Chemistry. I am delighted to say that all my students, both past and present, have gone on to achieve great grades and are now studying and it has been extremely rewarding to see their confidence and enjoyment grow. Tutoring has also enabled me to develop my communication, reflective and time management skills by creating individual lesson plans that are unique to each of my students learning styles. The COVID-19 pandemic has also taught me how to maintain this interactivity on zoom and ensure that my lessons are to a high standard and still just as engaging!
- Tutor with Elite Medics - I am currently tutoring GCSE and A Level classes that take place monthly and with an average audience of 200 students! The large number of students means that there is a lot of variability in learning styles, work objectives and understanding, but my flexible approach ensures that all students feel listened to and catered for. As the class is online, it also means that I have to maintain interactivity and engagement throughout - a variety of past paper questions, quizzes and word clouds ensure that my students find the learning extremely enjoyable and creative, and this really drives them into making great progress!
