Hi there! I’m CJ and I am a barrister by profession currently working for a Legal AI company. I have been privately tutoring 13 - 18 year olds since undertaking my masters 5 years ago and have seen many students through to their final GCSE or A-Level exams. I have particular specialty in tutoring English Language and English Literature to students of all abilities.

Experience: Record of student achievements:
- GCSE Student, 16, achieved `A grade` after being previously predicted a `D`. Tutored for entire year 11 academic year.
- GCSE Student, 16, achieved grade `8` in English Language and grade `7` in English Literature after previously predicted `6` by teachers. This student was tutored for 6 months before COVID-19 pandemic.
- A-Level Student, 17, re-took GCSE English Language for the second time whilst in college. Original exam sitting at grade `4` and first re-take at grade `5` with another tutor. I undertook tutoring for 4 months on a weekly basis with him, and he achieved final grade of `6`.
- A-Level Student, 18, applying to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at University of Oxford. We worked on her UCAS personal statement for 2 months prior to sending off. I conducted mock interviews with her on weekly basis. Successful offer for 2022 intake.

I set weekly homework and provide full written feedback to ensure that the student understands where they have done well, and which areas they can improve in.

I am DBS checked and in all 1:1 sessions I seek to ensure that all students learn in a comfortable environment where their questions and specific needs are met.
