I am a PGCE qualfied teacher of A Level and GCSE English Literature and Language, with 15 years of experience in the classroom and both a Masters and PhD in Education.

Alongside my current work teaching A Level and GCSE English in one of London’s leading 6th form colleges, I also deliver English Teacher Training at Goldsmiths University, supporting new teachers to develop best practice in the classroom.

I am passionate about the power of English to inspire critical thinking, empathy and creativity. And through my years as a teacher, I now firmly believe that any person can reach their potential in and enjoyment of English given the right support.

I also greatly enjoy working with young people 1-1 to support their growth, and have many positive private tuition experiences under my belt.

Availability: I am available most evenings and weekends, and more intensively during the school holidays and half terms. I am happy to tutor online or face to face.

Experience: I have taught A Level and GCSE English Literature and Language for 15 years in London schools and colleges, with a track record of internally and Ofsted-rated outstanding lessons, and a high proporation of B-A* grades (especially for A Level Literature coursework units).

I also deliver English Teacher Training at Goldsmiths University and am currently English lead at London Academy of Excellence`s Chrysalis East programme, designing academic interventions to raise attainment in four Haringey secondary schools.

Alongside this I have enjoyed private tutoring experiences for GCSE and A Level exam prep, with my tutees always achieving at least one grade higher over a short period of time.
