Information about Julie
Hello, my name is Julie I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher with over 20 years teaching experience in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have also taught Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, G.C.S.E and Home Educated Students. I am passionate about teaching and believe that all children, given the right support, have the ability to enjoy learning and to achieve.
Currently, I work as a private tutor for both English and Mathematics, tutoring children in the local area. Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with pupils with a range of learning needs, including social and emotional difficulties, dyslexia and autism. I also have extensive experience of planning and delivering one to one and small group intervention classes to help boost attainment.
My aim is to inspire a love of learning and as a teacher I believe that my enthusiasm, approachability and innovative style encourages confidence, progress and excellent results. I enjoy using my artistic and creative skills to provide fun and stimulating lessons which are engaging and relevant to help your child. I use practical and imaginative resources to help master any concepts and skills they may find challenging to give that much needed confidence boost to successfully achieve the new curriculum objectives.
I use the new National Curriculum as a benchmark and assess your childs needs carefully from the outset as I believe it is essential to find the gaps in their learning. Then together we can build upon existing knowledge to create a firm and secure foundation whilst promoting curiosity and challenge in all activities.
I give feedback to parents about all relevant aspects of their child`s learning. Generally, I work from my work station at home, although I am willing to travel short distances.
Please get in touch if you would like more information. I will be very happy to hear from you.
Availability: Daytime lessons are available for home educated students and for adults. After school lessons are available on weekdays and evenings. Weekend lessons are also available and I offer tutoring during school holidays. Please contact me and I will try to be as flexible as I can to fit with your requirements.
Willing to travel: Home Only

Feedback For Julie (2)
Very quick to respond and thorough. My son is keen to go and learn.
Julie has been a fantastic asset for James and she has really helped in all areas where he has needed attention. As the weeks have gone by, Julie has got to know James and understand what areas need extra attention, whilst also building that much needed bond. Thank you so much Julie. Claire and James
