Hi, I`m Isla! I`m an undergraduate at Oxford University and I`m looking to take on new students over the summer holidays to provide a targeted boost before they go into their exam years.

I have experience tutoring in the voluntary sector and am available to tutor multiple hours a week. In my experience, more time to get to know the student`s individual needs and personality builds the kind of trust and understanding that unlocks progress.

Availability: I am currently on furlough and so am available flexibly throughout the week

10 GCSEs all at A* (including full marks in English Language)
A Levels in English Literature (A*, full marks), History (A*) and German (A*)
AS Maths (A)

Distinction mark (70+ average) in first year university exams (History and German), including 85/100 in comparative German poetry
Received a college scholarship on the basis of my performance

My professional experience:

I currently tutor English Literature with CTI Tutoring Initiative, a voluntary scheme supporting students through schooling disruption caused by Covid-19
I was employed as an admissions host at my Oxford college. My role was to support students who were arriving for their Oxford admissions interview
I have worked two years part time in a National Trust cafe serving customers
