Melanie is a lecturer in A Level Biology at a leading sixth form college in Manchester. In addition to 20 years teaching experience, Melanie is an examiner for AQA. She examines AS Paper 1 and specialises as a Team Leader Examiner for A Level Paper 3 (the essay paper). This is a vital section of the Biology A Level where, with the right guidance, students can achieve vastly improved marks.
Melanie has also been a private tutor for 9 years offering both small group tuition and 1-to-1 sessions. Melanie`s sessions are exam focused, ensuring that her students can achieve the best results possible. All sessions are now conducted via Zoom.
In addition to online sessions, Melanie can provide regular, marked homework and online support throughout the week.
As a sixth form lecturer, Melanie has consistently produced grades well above the national average. For example, in the last four years, Melanie`s results at A Level have been in the top 10% nationally in 3 years and in the top 1% in the other year. My daughter has been having online tutor session with Melanie for the past few weeks. Initially concerned about the lack of face to face teaching, we have found this to be a non-issue. Melanie is very organised and the sessions are well delivered and provide our daughter with the support and confidence she was lacking. Lots of well thought out material and resources, with a good balance of tasks to be completed away from the session. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter has had some lessons over the summer and she has found Melanie invaluable. She is approachable, friendly, encouraging and helpful with explanations of topics and tackling how to answer the questions. She is very organised, flexible and can teach on zoom incredibly well. It has helped her confidence no end. I would highly recommend her.

Miss Melanie gave my son two lessons so far. She largely helped him comprehend the topics he had problems with. He is very happy with her tuition and feels that he is progressing fast in understanding the subject she was teaching him.
