Information about Madeleine
Hi! I`m Maddy. I am an experienced tutor with a Bachelor`s degree in Biology from Oxford University and a Master`s in Neuroscience, currently completing my PhD in Neuroimmunology at the University of Manchester. I am particularly suited to tutoring in the life sciences up to degree level. I can also provide coaching on university applications & UCAS, personal statements, interview technique and applying to Oxbridge.
Availability: I am available weekday evenings and weekends. Due to the current situation, online tuition is preferred. However should you prefer in-person tutoring I am happy to travel to you.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I started tutoring in 2012 and since then have gained experience in one-to-one tuition of A Level Biology, GCSE Science and English, and primary level Maths and English. I have also worked as a Cover Supervisor at a secondary school where I delivered lessons across the curriculum, with a focus on Science and English, and ran GCSE Science revision support sessions. Alongside my PhD studies, I am currently working as a university demonstrator and academic tutor. I enjoy working with students of all abilities, identifying what motivates them and how best to help them achieve their potential.
